What Churches Can Do

Hope Again believes that the local church is called to walk alongside men and women considering abortion, to offer hope, help, and compassion. Information from Care Net and the Guttmacher Institute reveals:

  • 59% of abortions in 2014 were obtained by women who had had at least one birth previously.*

  • 4 in 10 women having an abortion were actively attending church at the time of the abortion.*

  • More than half of all U.S. abortion patients in 2014 were in their 20's: Women aged 20–24 obtained 34% of all abortions, and women aged 25–29 obtained 27%.*

This means that the average woman obtaining an abortion is younger, probably already a mother, and possibly attends church with you. How can the average church member help her?

Hope Again partners with Care Net's initiative to equip Christians to offer compassion, hope, and help to men and women considering abortion. Watch the video to learn more about the curriculum.

If you are a member of a local church, and have a passion for ministering to men and women who are considering abortion, message us for upcoming training sessions!
